RE-ELECT REP DAVID ALCOS
RE-ELECT REP DAVID ALCOS
On December 21, 2023, the City and County in conjunction with the Honolulu Police Department
conducted a Parks and Recreation clean-up in an effort to maintain the beauty and cleanliness of our
beautiful Oneula Beach Park…better known as "Hau Bush"However, I understand that this clean-up has
affected the personal property of the homeless population who reside at Hau Bush. I want to assure all
of you that I have been actively working with the Governor's Coordinator of Homelessness to find
solutions that will benefit both the park and the individuals affected.
The Kamakana Ali'i Community Association, better known as "Hoakalei Homes" is one of the
newest community associations in District 41. Representative Alcos has recently been facilitating
requests by that association to the City and County Department of Transportation Division in
hopes to implement traffic mitigation measures throughout the area, especially around their
school zones. He attended their most recent Board of Director's meeting to debrief them on the
status of discussions between his office and the City and County. Beauty and cleanliness of our

Representative Alcos is currently advocating for various properties in the Kalaeloa area of
District 41 to be turned over from the Department of the Navy back to the City and County of
Honolulu. One of the properties is in discussion to designate a portion for a motorsports public
track which will hopefully bring back hobbies enjoyed at the Hawaii Raceway Park back in the
1970's and 1980's. The positive aspects of having this venue available to the public like this is
the opportunity for our keiki and young adults to develop STEM (science, technology,
engineering, and mathematics) skills which can be used as a gateway towards prosperous
careers. We are counting on Representative Alcos' persistence to make this hope a reality.
In July of 2023, we attended the City and County hearing regarding their Annual Capital Budget
allocations where I was able to voice the importance of moving forward with constructing the
planned bathroom in the most utilized area of Hau Bush. Our community's request dating back
to 2001 is finally being realized and has moved to the first two stages of the process, plans and
design. A whopping $2.7M dollars was allocated to this project. A Special Thank You goes out to
all the past supportive Kupunas, Andria Tupola, Augie Tulba, and Kehau Pu'u for your support.
